A somewhat forgotten masterpiece of EPCOT Center, The Image Works marquee was one of two installations in Journey into Imagination created by Austine Wood that showcased her medium of “Polage” that used cellulose and polarizing filter to shift through a mesmerizing spectrum colors for truly dazzling effects.
In this specific case, Austine whimsically depicts every activity of the original Image Works from (clockwise from lower left) the massive kaleidoscopes, stars from Dreamfinder’s School of Drama, Bubble Music, the Light Writer, iconic Rainbow Corridor, Electronic Philharmonic, Stepping Tones, the Digital Wall, and a triangular brush path from the Magic Palette.
